Stainless steel rod wire coating
For stainless steel wire, it is necessary to coat the rod wire with a salt coating bath before further drawing process. This can be done in line with the drawing machine or off line coating the complete coil.
The line includes a stand for loading the coil, a coating bath working at 90°C, a dryer working at about 110°C and an unloading stand. A bridge crane that can be manually operated or fully automatic is moving the coils between the different positions.
A particular care has been taken to the insulation of the bath in order to reduce as much as possible the heat losses. In particular, covers are foreseen on coating bath and dryer so that the bathes are opened only for loading and unloading the coils and 100mm of insulating material is foreseen around the bathes.
